Schedule a User to View a Lesson

There are two ways to schedule lessons to users in Damstra Learning; manually, or via automatic rules. User should have an Administrator or Supervisor access to be able to schedule lessons.

To manually schedule a user a lesson

1. Login with Admin or Supervisor permissions.
2. Go to the Manage tab on the header navigation.
3. Select Lessons from the left-hand navigation
4. Select the Lesson to schedule by clicking the name of the lesson then selecting the Scheduled Users tab or click the ellipsis then choose Users Scheduled.
   A list of users will appear on this page if there are users scheduled for this lesson.
5. To add new user schedules, select Schedule a User, a pop-up will appear.
   
6. From the pop-up, select the schedule time and date and update the grace period if necessary.
7. Select one or multiple users. If an incorrect selection was made, click the user again to deselect.
   Note: Users who already have a schedule set up for the selected lesson will not display in the user selection pop-up.
   
8. Click the Schedule button.

Automatically Scheduling

1. Login with Admin permissions.
2. Go to the Manage tab on the header navigation.
3. Select Lessons from the left-hand navigation
4. Select the Lesson to schedule by clicking the name of the lesson then selecting the Automatic Schedule tab or click the ellipsis and then choose Automatic Schedule.
   Any rules that have been created for the lesson will appear on this page.
   
5. Click the Add New Rule button, a menu dropdown will appear with the following rules.
   
   New User Rule - When users are added to Damstra Learning, immediately schedule them with the grace period specified.
   Recurring Rule - Repeat any existing schedule at the specified interval, i.e every 3 months, with the grace period specified.
   Group Rule - Assign all users in the selected group(s) to a lesson schedule, with the specified grace period. When a new group member is added, a lesson schedule will also be applied from the date they are added.
   Lesson Completion Rule - Require prerequisite lessons to be completed by a user before the next lesson is scheduled.
   Failed Lesson Rule - Reassigns the lesson on failed assessment.

6. On selection, the new rule will appear on the page with fields for customising the rule.
   
7. Click Save to apply the automatic schedule rule selected.
