Custom ID is an additional set of identifiers for employees. Worksites with 3rd party integrations use this to record the employee’s unique identifier from the other system to the EPP.
These custom IDs can be found in two places: on the employee profile top summary (referenced as 1 on the photo below), and the employee's employment details (referenced as 1 on the photo below).
Notes:
Users will only see custom IDs that are relevant to their worksite.
Configuration
By default, Custom IDs are uneditable but can be set to be editable by contacting Damstra. If the custom ID is set to be editable, Level 1-3 users will also need to have the additional custom permission ticked on their user login accounts to be able to edit custom IDs.
To configure the custom ID permission:
1. Go to System settings then select User login accounts.
2. On the User login accounts page, select a user then click details.
3. Go to the Permissions & access tab, then select Workforce management.
4. On the Employee profiles permission, tick Edit custom IDs.
5. Click to save the changes and the user will be able to edit custom IDs.
