The working area of the dashboard library contains all dashboards in your environment to which you have access. You can make a dashboard a favourite, delete it (if your privileges allow), and open the dashboard.
Access the Dashboard Library
To access the dashboard library, select Library on the UI menu or the top-level navigation menu, or select Dashboards on the Home page. The dashboard library appears. The dashboards display in a table (list) format.
Search Box
If there are many dashboards included in your dashboard library, you may need to search and filter for what you need.
You can use the search bar to perform a search, and filter to filter all items or your search results, using built in filters or content tags.
You can search many of the columns in your list to find what you need. Select All to search all searchable columns, or select an option available from the drop-down menu, such as Author, Name, or Type. You can also allow you to search the text of a Description associated with an item.
Enter some characters into the search field. Damstra Insights hides items that don't match your partial search criteria. Narrow the results further by entering a complete search term or character string, or by performing a more complex search.
To perform a complex search, you can include the following special characters in the Search field:
| Character | Use to ... |
| & or : | Conditionally AND items in the search string. |
| | | Conditionally OR items in the search string. |
Optionally, use these column keywords in complex searches and map to columns in the list.
| Keyword | Use to identify a search for ... |
| author | The name of an author in the Author column. |
| Connection (data source) | The name of a connection in the Connection column |
| name | The name of an item in the Name column. |
| type | The type of an item in the Type column |
| description | Items with specific words in the Description. |
For example, in the Dashboard Library, the following search string would search for dashboards with names that include the characters safety and that were created by user chris:
name:safety & author:chris
If no dashboard in the list meet both of these criteria, a message is returned indicating that no items match the current search.
Buttons
The buttons on the page allow easy access to saved dashboards, as well as other dashboards created by other users in your Damstra Insights environment. They also allow you to create a new dashboard, filter the dashboards that are shown, or import a dashboard.

Sort the Dashboard List
You can sort the dashboard list by dashboard name, the date the dashboard was last modified, the data source for the dashboard, or the dashboard owner's name. By default, dashboards are sorted alphabetically by dashboard name. Select a column title in the list to sort the dashboards by the data in the column. By default, the list is sorted in alphabetical order by the data in the column. To sort the list in reverse alphabetical order, select the column title a second time.
